League Structure

Rules of the league, scoring etc.

Players

Each team can have as many substitutes as they want for each match. Substitutions can only be made between games unless a player is injured during a game and wants to stop playing. Any substitute must be of the same sex.
All players on a team should wear the same coloured shirt so that they can be easily identified.

If a team is short of players then they may borrow players from other teams. Ideally players should be borrowed for a whole match and that player should not play in their own team's match that evening.

Matches

Each match consists of 7 games. Each game is of 3 minutes each, unless one team loses all of their players before the 3 minutes is up.

Appeals

In the event that a team is unhappy with a referee's decision in a game there is no appeals process. The referee's decision is final. Remember it's only a bit of fun!

Scoring

At the end of each game the team with most players still on the court wins the game.

At the end of the match the team that has won the most games wins the match.

League Points

Points are awarded as follows:

  • 30 points for a win
  • 20 points for a draw
  • 10 points for a loss
  • 2 bonus points for eliminating all of the opposing teams players in a game
  • 2 bonus points for losing a game by only 1 or 2 players

Each week the League Standings will be updated on the site as soon as possible so everyone can keep track of their position.

Finals

In the final week the top two teams in the league will play for the glory of the Cup. Positions 3 and 4 play to decide third and fourth position and positions 5 and 6 will play to avoid the Wooden Spoon.
